Hyderabad is a melting pot of diverse cultures, and the state government is actively promoting the arts in Telangana, stated Minister for Culture and Youth Services Jupally Krishna Rao.

Speaking at the grandly organized Cultural Festival 2026 held at the Ravindra Bharati main hall under the auspices of the 'Hyderabad Zindabad' organization on August 16, he said that the state government is giving high priority to the arts and encouraging artists.

He announced that the government will soon launch a special program to promote art forms that inspire social awareness among the public, and that civic organizations like Hyderabad Zindabad will also be made partners in this initiative.

He appreciated Hyderabad Zindabad for rendering valuable community services such as organizing free medical camps and working on environmental protection. He elaborated on the various initiatives undertaken by the state government for the development of arts in Telangana.

During the cultural festival, thought-provoking and message-oriented performances were showcased, including the drama "The Trial of Bhagat Singh", and skits on "Say No to Drugs" and "Organ Donation" presented by Pragathi Nagar students. Dance performances by the Om Dance Academy and Ambedkar College cultural troupes captivated the audience.

Traditional Bharatanatyam by Kuruganti Kalakshetra, renowned artist Guru Swami Peradi's and Raufuddin's stand-up comedy, Shiva Prasad's mimicry, Ramadugu Vasanth's mime show, and Mounika's puppet show received great appreciation. The traditional Kerala Thiruvathira dance by Tanal Malayali Seva Samiti also mesmerized the audience.

Walkers Club International Regional Vice President Murali Krishna, environmentalist Dr. Jaya Surya, Happy Walkers Club President Rajasekhar, and prominent TV actor Malakpet Sailaja attended the event and distributed the prizes.
