The "Sastra, Sangeeta, Sahitya, Sammelanam" event captivated audiences at the main venue of Thyagaraya Gana Sabha in Chikkadpally, held under the auspices of the cultural wing during the 12th-anniversary celebrations of the Vempati Lakshmi Srinivasa Sastry Memorial Trust on August 16.
Renowned scientist, former NFC Chairman, and Chief Executive Dr. N. Saibaba attended the event as the chief guest and inaugurated it by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the services rendered by the Vempati Lakshmi Srinivasa Sastry Memorial Trust to the field of literature.
Dr. S.V.S. Narayana Murthy, Vamsi Art Theatres Founder President Dr. Vamsi Ramaraju, and psychologist Dr. Mahalakshmi participated in the program. During the event, a veena recital coordinated by All India Radio artist Veluri Lakshmi enthralled the audience.
Kuchipudi dance ballets presented by the disciples of Chavali Bala Tripura Sundari, daughter of Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, were a major highlight. The program was supervised by the trust's founding president, Vempati Lakshminarayana Sharma.
