Hyderabad, August 13 (Trinet News): BC Student JAC Chairman Bollepalli Swamy Goud stated that the remarks made by the Medchal-Malkajgiri CP were incorrect and demanded that she take back her comments.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Osmania University Arts College premises, Swamy Goud referred to news and viral social media posts stating that Medchal-Malkajgiri CP Sumathi had warned that legal action would be taken against student unions, public organizations, and journalists entering educational institutions to take photos or videos. He expressed deep anguish, stating that such a statement from the CP aims to suppress questioning voices and violates citizens' fundamental rights.
Swamy Goud criticized that instead of filing PD Act cases against educational institutions that are exploiting poor and middle-class student families in the name of high donations, heavy fees, and special fees, Malkajgiri CP Sumathi's threat to file cases against questioning student unions, public organizations, and journalists is quite ridiculous.
Swamy Goud questioned how many PD Act cases would be filed against corporate institutions like Narayana and Sri Chaitanya, which operate multiple unauthorized branches under a single license, exert pressure in the name of ranks, lack basic amenities, and are allegedly responsible for the suicides and deaths of numerous students.
He advised that instead of listening only to the management of educational institutions, the CP should invite student unions, public organizations, journalists, and parents for discussions. This would expose the true nature, exploitation, and atrocities of these institutions, and if PD Act cases are filed against them then, the entire civil society would appreciate it.
