Chilakalaguda police have once again demonstrated their generosity and humanity by standing by those in distress and helping an abandoned elderly man suffering from a hand injury, thereby reinforcing public trust in the police force.
According to details provided by Chilakalaguda correspondent Pandugalas Srinivas on August 13, 2026, a 70-year-old elderly man named Kalidas from Tamil Nadu suffered a severe injury to his right hand. Noticing him struggling with no one to look after him, Chilakalaguda Inspector Valishetty Ramakrishna, Head Constable Pusa Srinivas, and SG Ravinder responded immediately.
First, they provided necessary medical treatment for the elderly man's hand. Seeing that his clothes were badly torn, the police personally bought and dressed him in new clothes. Later, at his request, they safely shifted him to Mother Teresa Home in Bhoiguda to provide him with shelter.
Locals have heavily praised the generous act of the police officers for responding in a timely manner and helping the elderly man.
