Retired judge Justice Kashi Visweswara Rao stated that every poem written by Jandhyala Papayya Sastry overflows with compassion, making him truly deserving of the title 'Karunasree'.

On Thursday, a commemorative meeting dedicated to Jandhyala Papayya Sastry was held under the auspices of the Tyagaraya Gana Sabha as part of the ongoing 'Endaro Mahanubhavulu' lecture series at the Kala Subba Rao Kala Vedika in Chikkadpally. The event was presided over by Gana Sabha President Kala V.S. Janardhana Murthy.

Attending as the chief guest, Justice Visweswara Rao said that Sastry's composition 'Pushpa Vilapam' gained world-renowned fame through the melodious rendition of legendary singer Ghantasala. He described other notable literary works by the author, such as 'Kunti Kumari' and 'Arunasree', as invaluable treasures of Telugu literature.
