Political friction has intensified in the state regarding irrigation water releases and agricultural preparedness, prompting swift administrative action in the region.
The principal opposition BRS had earlier raised serious concerns over the sluggish pace of water distribution, warning the administration of potential statewide agitations if supplies were withheld further.
Responding to the mounting political pressure and ground-level agricultural demands, irrigation authorities successfully commenced pumping operations at the Kalwakurthy project to safeguard the ongoing crop season.
With the pumps now operational, farming communities across the Mahabubnagar region are expected to receive much-needed water relief for their parched fields in the coming days.
