Folk Arts Workshops Introduce Burrakatha and Perini Basics to School Students

A series of special folk arts workshops has been launched to introduce traditional Telangana art forms to the younger generation. As part of this initiative, school students in the region are being trained in the basics of Burrakatha and the vigorous Perini dance.
Noted artists and cultural exponents are visiting institutions to mentor students, explaining the historical significance of these heritage art forms and teaching foundational rhythm and performance techniques. Organizers noted that the workshops aim to instill an appreciation for indigenous culture among school-goers.
Students have shown immense enthusiasm, actively participating in the interactive training sessions. Cultural department officials stated that plans are underway to expand these grassroots workshops to more schools across Telangana in the near future.
