TIRUMALA, TRINET NEWS, SEPTEMBER 21: As part of the ongoing annual Salakatla Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara, the Snapana Thirumanjanam for Sridevi and Bhudevi sameta Sri Malayappa Swami was performed with utmost devotion and grandeur on Monday. The deities blessed devotees in divine forms, adorned with special garlands crafted from white pearls, vetiver (vattiveru), kuruveru, dry fruits, bangles, and betel leaves.
The ritual was conducted strictly according to Vaikhanasa Agama traditions amidst Vedic chants by priests at the Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the Tirumala temple from 1 PM to 3 PM. The utsava idols of Lord Malayappa Swami along with his consorts were seated on a special platform and beautifully decorated with colorful flowers.
Sacred Abhishekam with Panchamrutams
On this occasion, a special abhishekam was performed for the deities using milk, curd, coconut water, honey, turmeric, and sandalwood paste. The ritual bath was conducted traditionally using Sankhanidhi, Padmanidhi, Sahasradhara, and Kumbhadharana.
Ranganayakula Mandapam Resounds with Vedic Chants
During the Snapana Thirumanjanam, TTD Vedic scholars devoutly chanted Upanishad mantras, Dasha Shanti mantras, and the five principal suktas including Purusha Suktam, Sri Suktam, Bhu Suktam, Neela Suktam, and Vishnu Suktam. Following the abhishekam, the senior and junior Pontiffs of Tirumala (Pedda Jeeyangar and Chinna Jeeyangar Swamys) recited various sacred Pasurams.
Divine Decoration Amidst Fragrances
As part of the celebrations, the Lord and His consorts were specially decorated with garlands made of white pearls, vetiver, kuruveru, dry fruits, bangles, betel leaves, turmeric petals, roses, and button chrysanthemums. The Ranganayakula Mandapam radiated spiritual splendor, filled with fragrant aromas, floral scents, and Vedic chants.
TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Sri C.H. Venkaiah Chowdary, and other officials participated in the event.
