Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced a comprehensive action plan for water conservation in Nalgonda district. Speaking at the District Irrigation Advisory Council meeting held at the Collectorate, he urged officials to harvest every single drop of rainwater. He stated that measures are being taken to increase groundwater levels through the 'Jalasiri' program, with a special focus on the construction of farm ponds. Halia Municipality Chairman Chintala Chandra Reddy, who attended the meeting, brought the drinking water scarcity in Halia to the Minister's attention. He requested an increased supply of water from the Rangareddygudem Mission Bhagiratha plant to prevent water shortages for Halia residents. He also appealed to the Minister to include municipalities under the Jalasiri program to encourage the construction of soak pits.
