Hyderabad Metro rail network witnessed a significant surge in weekend ridership, with commuters increasingly opting for rail transit across major corridors as the city continues to expand its urban footprint.
In tandem with the rising commuter numbers, authorities have intensified trials for last-mile electric vehicle (EV) feeder services. These green transport trials are aimed at seamless station-to-destination connectivity for daily commuters.
The initiative forms part of a broader push to promote eco-friendly urban mobility and alleviate road congestion around major transit hubs. Officials stated that the permanent rollout of these feeder networks will be scaled up based on passenger feedback from the ongoing trials.
