Promises made to the disabled should be implemented immediately: Goli Prabhakar

Nalgonda, October 6, Trinet News: BJP State Co-Convener of the Disabled Wing, Goli Prabhakar, demanded that the Congress government immediately implement the promises made to the disabled. He criticized that even though the government has completed its thousand days of rule, not a single promise made to the disabled has been fulfilled.

A meeting was held on Tuesday at the Nalgonda district BJP office under the chairmanship of District Convener of the Disabled Wing, Rapolu Santhosh Kumar. Speaking on the occasion, Prabhakar stated that Congress had announced in its manifesto promises such as a monthly pension of Rs. 6,000 for the disabled, free bus travel, loans with an 80 percent subsidy, the establishment of a special department, and 5 percent reservation in local body elections. He noted that the party had also promised to effectively implement the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act-2016.

He alleged that the government, which came to power with the votes of the disabled after making 32 promises, is neglecting their implementation. He stated that demanding the fulfillment of these promises, the BJP Disabled Wing will undertake a signature campaign across the district this week. He warned that they would make the disabled aware, submit the collected signatures to the government, and intensify the agitation if there is no response even then.

Co-conveners Ponna Ramesh, Muntha Mallesh Yadav, Pagilla Yadaiah, and others participated in the meeting.
