"On behalf of Jana Sena, we are questioning: In which accounts is that Rs 1,400 crore amount held? During what period was it amassed? What are its origins? What are the audit records related to the funds that came into the party accounts?" Shankar Goud questioned.
Speaking at a press conference held on Sunday at the Jana Sena state office in Hyderabad, Shankar Goud said that in the Telangana state achieved through the sacrifices of martyrs, students sacrificing their lives, and the struggles of poets, artists, employees, and all sections of society, only KCR's family has grown prosperous by looting thousands of crores of rupees in funds and hundreds of acres of land, while people's aspirations remained unfulfilled. Shankar Goud noted that numerous allegations and counter-allegations are coming before the public regarding past governance in Telangana concerning lands, party funds, public money, phone-tapping, the Kaleshwaram project, the Formula-E affair, and the growth of assets of public representatives. He said there is a clear need for the public to know which of these allegations are established facts, which are political accusations, and which are matters that need to be legally determined.
He stated that the Jana Sena demands a comprehensive examination of all aspects regarding former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao: the Telangana government has ordered an inquiry into lands around the Erravelli farmhouse, with about 700 acres under review, and allegations that 388 acres of it may be government land. Who are the actual owners of the lands? What do the registration records say? Has any government land come into private possession? Were the land transfers carried out legally? Are there any discrepancies in government records, registration records, pahanies, and Dharani/Bhoohabharathi records?
He alleged that while the promise to provide 3 acres of agricultural land to landless poor Dalit women was sidelined, KCR's family looted hundreds of acres. He demanded an inquiry into Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's remarks regarding Rs 400 crore related to funds of former minister Malla Reddy's educational institutions, asking the government to release official documents detailing whether that amount consists of public or private funds, which institutions, in which years, with what approvals, and through which bank transactions.
On behalf of the Jana Sena party and the people, he requested the government to consider independent investigations—wherever necessary, such as in phone-tapping, Kaleshwaram, and fund transfers—under the supervision of the High Court by a sitting judge or by the CBI. Jana Sena Party Propaganda Secretary Sagar R.K. Naidu spoke and stated that Congress, having given Telangana, and BRS, having brought it, are looting the state. He said they are playing games by creating land issues and causing trouble with regard to students' fee reimbursement matters.
