The development of Dalits, Adivasis, and Girijans is the goal, said CM Revanth Reddy. Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 22: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that the government is working with the objective of developing Dalits, Adivasis, and Girijans. He recalled that they still have not forgotten Indira Gandhi, who showed affection like a biological mother. He noted that it was Indira Gandhi who had the distinction of providing assigned land pattas for 2.5 million acres.
A high-level vigilance and monitoring committee meeting on the implementation of the SC and ST Atrocities Prevention Act was held on Tuesday at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of CM Revanth Reddy. Speaking on the occasion, CM Revanth Reddy explained that this government is working with the inspiration of Indira Gandhi and is allocating budget in proportion to the population. He stated that the government is working with sincerity for these sections, and 31 percent of the beneficiaries in Indiramma housing are Dalits. The CM explained that 17 percent of Indiramma houses have been sanctioned for STs.
He mentioned that breakfast is being provided to 2.75 million students from nursery to the twelfth standard in the state. He stated that they are able to provide good meals with fine rice to 3.48 million people in Telangana, including Dalit and tribal communities. The CM stated that welfare schemes are being implemented keeping Dalits, tribals, and Adivasis in mind. The CM noted that the government is responding to atrocities from a human perspective and instructed officials to release compensation for victims through a green channel without linking it to the budget.
Education alone changes lives, and if marginalized sections are not guided towards education, the problem cannot be solved. The CM suggested encouraging children towards education and sports. The CM called upon everyone to develop, transcending politics, stating that this government belongs to you and works for you.
