Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed that the construction of Adilabad and Warangal airports, as well as the Telangana Bhavan in Delhi, should stand as symbols of Telangana culture. The CM suggested examining the sculpture and architecture of the Kakatiya Kala Thoranam, Ramappa Temple, and Pillalamarri Temple, which are embodiments of Telangana history and culture, and ensuring that these aspects are reflected in the constructions.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held a review meeting at the State Secretariat on Tuesday regarding the construction of Adilabad and Warangal airports and the Telangana Bhavan in Delhi. Officials briefed the Chief Minister on issues such as shifting power lines, rerouting streams, diverting roads, and relocating BSNL and drinking water supply lines in the areas where the Adilabad and Warangal airports are to be built. After gathering complete details on these matters, the Chief Minister gave several suggestions to the officials.
He suggested constructing roads close to the airport compound walls and connecting those roads to nearby district, state, and national highways. He noted that if each department undertakes works separately, numerous difficulties will arise. He instructed officials from the electricity, R&B, drinking water supply, and irrigation departments to meet, discuss with BSNL officials, and ensure that works proceed simultaneously. CM Revanth Reddy advised that a comprehensive plan should be formulated, taking into account not only current needs but also future requirements, to drive the works forward.
If streams or other water flows need to be diverted, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy suggested constructing tanks within or near the airport premises and routing the water flows from there. The CM directed that the roads leading to and from the airports should be spacious and connected to major nearby roads. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy examined the designs related to the Adilabad and Warangal airports as well as the Delhi Telangana Bhavan constructions to ensure works are completed within the stipulated time. He ordered that utmost importance be given to Telangana culture, sculpture, and architecture in every construction, and suggested changes to several designs.
