TDP supremo and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed party leaders to work collectively for the victory of alliance candidates in the local body elections. He suggested that those who filed nominations as rebels should withdraw them and directed that B-forms be handed over promptly to the officially selected candidates of the party. He warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken if anyone defies the party's decisions and proceeds otherwise.

During a teleconference with MPs, ministers, MLAs, and key leaders, Chandrababu provided guidelines on the action plan for the local body elections. He stated that coordination among the alliance parties is extremely crucial, and when the three parties are contesting together, everyone must strive for the victory of the allied candidates in the allocated seats.

Priority for selecting efficient candidates

Chandrababu advised that candidates should not be fielded for temporary political gains. He said that leaders should assess ground-level strengths and weaknesses while coordinating with alliance parties, and select capable candidates who have recognition and acceptance among the public. He mentioned that leaders of all parties have the responsibility to ensure the victory of candidates allotted seats on behalf of the alliance.

He suggested that priority should be given in local elections to party workers who have worked hard for the party. He stated that thousands of workers will get an opportunity to serve the public through these elections. He clarified that if some could not be given the opportunity to contest due to alliances and other political equations, they would be accommodated in nominated posts.

Explain government performance through door-to-door campaigning

Chandrababu directed that election campaigning should start from the grassroots level, and door-to-door campaigns should be conducted to explain the development and welfare programs implemented by the government up to the booth level. He said leaders gain recognition only when they continuously serve the people. He noted that if there are no capable leaders in villages, the party becomes weak there, and selecting leaders who are accessible and serve the people will strengthen the party further. He remarked that these coming months are a test of the party leaders' performance.

With elections scheduled for corporations, municipalities, ZPTCs, MPTCs, and sarpanch posts, Chandrababu expressed hope that the alliance would achieve better results in all regions. He instructed leaders to work towards achieving even better results in the local body elections than the 57 percent strike rate achieved in the last general elections. He stated that elections for municipalities where polls are not currently held will also take place soon.

Chandrababu clarified that until the elections are completed, he will act not only as the Chief Minister but also as the party president. He advised ministers and MLAs to work like party workers and strive for the victory of the alliance candidates.

Political representation for all communities

Chandrababu stated that 11 corporations have been allocated to 11 social communities. He explained that this decision was taken with the intention of providing a share in political power to all castes. He said local body elections provide an opportunity for thousands to serve the public.

He remarked that value-less politics, rowdyism, and politics driven by the abuse of power will never last. He advised leaders to work in a way that gains public trust and to take steps to ensure that those who worked with dedication for the party receive due recognition. Chandrababu called upon all alliance party leaders to move forward in coordination and work with the sole aim of ensuring the victory of official candidates.
