HYDERABAD, TRINET NEWS, SEPTEMBER 19:: The government has taken a crucial step forward to provide high-quality technical and practical training in the aviation sector for the youth of the state. The Department of Technical Education has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana State Aviation Academy (TGSAA) located at the old airport in Hyderabad. The key agreement was signed on Saturday at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in the presence of Government Advisor Dr. K. Keshav Rao. Collegiate Education and Technical Education Commissioner Sridevasena and others participated in the program.

Industry-Based Experience for AME Training: Through this agreement, the three-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Training Diploma Program conducted at the Jawaharlal Nehru Government Polytechnic (JNGP) in Ramanthapur, Hyderabad, will have access to more practical and industry-based training. In addition to theoretical education, students will be provided with laboratory practicals, aircraft familiarization, aircraft systems training, and industry-based practical work experience in their final year.

2,100 Hours of Practical Training: During the first two years, theory, laboratory practicals, aircraft familiarization, and systems training will be provided under the auspices of JNGP and TGSAA. The main highlight of this MoU is providing one year of practical work experience and industrial training totaling 2,100 hours at TGSAA in the final year.

Direct Integration with the Aviation Industry: Along with providing experienced instructors, TGSAA will offer practical laboratory facilities, access to specialized aircraft, practical exposure to aircraft maintenance, and work experience in maintenance areas. This will provide students with direct understanding and industry experience in airlines, flying training organizations, aircraft operators, MROs, aeronautical manufacturing, and aerospace sectors.

Priority for Aviation Safety: Giving utmost priority to safety standards in the aviation sector, students will be given mandatory safety and security briefings, along with training to comply with AAI and BCAS-related regulations.

A Strong Foundation for Skilled Youth: This partnership makes it possible to align the government's technical education system with the needs of the aviation industry. Students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a real aircraft maintenance environment alongside classroom knowledge. Students who complete the prescribed training hours, maintain 90 percent attendance, and meet the required performance standards will be issued a practical training certificate.

MoU Valid for Five Years: This memorandum of understanding will be in effect for five years from the date of signing. There is a provision to renew the agreement by mutual consent. By enhancing skills, providing practical training, and making industry experience accessible to Telangana youth in the aviation sector, this partnership stands as a significant step forward in bridging technical education and industry in the state.
