Ravindra Bharati, Trinet News, August 17: The Bharatanatyam Arangetram (debut performance) of Shloka Gadde, a disciple of prominent dance gurus Padmini Radhakrishnan and Aarathi Juthani, was grandly held on Monday night at Ravindra Bharati under the auspices of the Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Foundation.
Former Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Nannapaneni Rajakumari, and SLB Kuchipudi Kalanilayam Director Dr. Vinela Rao attended the event as chief guests and inaugurated it by lighting the traditional lamp. Speaking on the occasion, they commended Shloka Gadde, daughter of Kalpana and Buchayya, for her exceptional dedication and successful debut in Bharatanatyam after rigorous practice.
They noted that Shloka trained in Bharatanatyam for 15 years at the Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Foundation. She began learning the dance at the age of eight in Bangkok under the guidance of her guru Aarathi Juthani. They praised her remarkable dedication and perseverance in continuing her training online after her family relocated to Cambodia in 2020. Shloka is currently studying in the 10th grade at Oakridge International School in Hyderabad. Along with Bharatanatyam, she excels in playing the piano and participates in various sports.
During the event, Shloka Gadde captivated the audience with her stellar performances of various items, including Pushpanjali, Bhagya Dalakshmi, Varnam, Bho Shambho, Tigattum Varai, Thillana, and Bhramamokate.
