Ravindra Bharathi, Trinet News, August 22: The musical concert titled "Karaoke," organized jointly by the Nada Amil Foundation and supported by the Department of Language and Culture of Telangana to mark World Senior Citizens Day at the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium, thoroughly entertained the audience.
On this occasion, renowned Carnatic music maestro Akella Mallikarjuna Sharma and prominent guitarist and music director Saluri Vasu Rao were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards. Additionally, distinguished senior citizen awards were presented to Ashwini Homeopathy Chairman Ashwini Subba Rao, former Minister Peddireddy, Lions Club founder Saujanya Choudary, and former DGP S.K. Jayachandra.
The event also captivated the gathering with devotional sankirtanas performed by renowned musician Vidwan Jonnalagadda Sriram and his troupe, alongside Kuchipudi dance performances by the students of Swathi Somanath.
Speaking at the event, award recipient Ashwini Subba Rao said it was commendable to recognize the services of senior citizens by presenting such awards. He assured his continued support to the foundation. Nada Amil Foundation founder Kalyani and others participated in the program.
