HYDERABAD, RAVINDRA BHARATHI, TRINET NEWS, AUGUST 26: Artists of the Gowada Creations theatre group staged their debut historical play 'SatyAnveshi', depicting the early life of Siddhartha, at Ravindra Bharathi. Written by Chiluveru Raghuram and presented under the aegis of Kalavipanchi Boppana Narasimha Rao, the play was directed by Dr. Venkat Gowada.
Based on the events in Prince Siddhartha's life before he became Gautama Buddha, the narrative begins with his childhood in the Kapilavastu kingdom. It portrays his deep anguish upon witnessing society's conflicts, sufferings, and deaths, and his journey of leaving behind worldly attachments—including his wife Yashodhara and son Rahul—to seek the truth and find the causes of human sorrow.
