Secunderabad, Trinet News, September 17: Police have cracked the Immadi Srinivas murder case in Mylargadda, Chilakalguda. Chilakalguda police on Thursday arrested Mohammad Nizamuddin alias Nizam (36), a resident of Bholakpur, in connection with the case. A case has been registered at the Chilakalguda Police Station.
According to police details, Srinivas went to a nearby wine shop on his Activa between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM on Tuesday. Investigations revealed that between 7:10 PM and 7.20 PM, Nizamuddin attacked Srinivas with a knife on the Mylargadda road and fled the scene. Severely injured, Srinivas was first rushed to RTC Hospital and later to Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead while undergoing treatment.
Police stated that the accused had an acquaintance and business transactions with the victim's son, Suman. Due to losses in share market trading, Suman had borrowed money and left home in November 2023. Nizamuddin had been demanding the repayment of the money due to him and had also filed a civil case regarding the financial dispute, police revealed. The attack on Srinivas reportedly stemmed from this background.
Police seized the sharp curved knife used in the crime, blood-stained clothes, and a two-wheeler from the accused. DCP Rakshitha K. Murthy stated that the arrest was made by Chilakalguda SHO V. Ramakrishna, SI J. Rakesh, and their teams under the supervision of ACP K. Shashank Reddy and the leadership of Additional DCP J. Narsayya.
Police warned that financial and personal disputes should be resolved through legal channels and strict action will be taken against those who take the law into their own hands.
