Hyderabad, Trinet News, August 30: Under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bansilalpet Division President Ramancha Mahesh, the 137th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mann Ki Baat" program was collectively listened to at the division office today, August 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
The event was attended by BJP Nagar President Gunda Goni Bharat Goud, Parliament Convenor T. Rajasekhara Reddy, BC Morcha District President Y. Suresh Kumar, along with leaders K. M. Krishna, Elakonda Srinivas Mudiraj, K. Krishna, Seelam Shivalingam, Satyanarayana Goud, Venkat Pati Raj, B. Paramesh, Pawan Patel, Kalyan, Ganesh, Bheemrao, and a large number of party workers as chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers praised "Mann Ki Baat" as an unprecedented program where the Prime Minister of the country directly interacts with citizens, a unique initiative unseen anywhere else in the world.
Key highlights from the Prime Minister's address:
1. Youth & Startups: The Prime Minister lauded the nation's youth for moving beyond conventional jobs and coming forward with innovative ideas and startups. He stated that even a small idea, with the right effort, can bring about a major change in society.
2. Women Empowerment - PM SVANidhi: He noted that 46% of the beneficiaries of the PM SVANidhi scheme are women. He appreciated the millions of women achieving self-employment through street vending, serving as a testament to women's empowerment.
3. Anti-Drugs Campaign: Expressing concern over the rising consumption of narcotics in society, the Prime Minister warned that drug addiction ("Nashe ki lat") harms not just the individual, but the entire family and society. He commended everyone raising awareness against drugs.
At the conclusion of the program, leaders urged everyone to contribute to the nation's development and carry forward the Prime Minister's call to action.
