Tiu Laurel Jr. to attend the prestigious "Telangana Rising Summit," scheduled to be held in Hyderabad this December with the objective of positioning Telangana as a major destination for global investments, agricultural trade, and industrial opportunities.
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy held a special meeting with Philippines Agriculture Secretary Francisco T. Tiu Laurel in New Delhi this morning. He explained the quality, production capacity, and export opportunities of Telangana's agricultural products, while also detailing the goals of the Telangana Rising Summit and the investment opportunities available in the state.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on significantly increasing rice exports from Telangana to the Philippines, further expanding agricultural trade relations between the two regions, and establishing a long-term trade partnership. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy revealed that the Philippines Agriculture Secretary responded positively, stating they would examine the possibilities of procuring large quantities of rice from Telangana.
He stated that Francisco T. Tiu Laurel Jr. also expressed interest in purchasing high-quality meat products and top-standard seeds produced in Telangana. He noted that with world-class standards, vast production capacity, and quality, Telangana's agricultural products can secure a special place in international markets.
"Our government's goal is to open the doors of the international market for the grain grown by the Telangana farmer. Expanding rice exports will not only ensure better prices for farmers but also provide immense opportunities for rice millers, seed companies, meat producers, and food processing industries.
