HYDERABAD, RAVINDRA BHARATHI, TRINET NEWS, SEPTEMBER 12: Yakshagana Kanthirava Pasumarti Seshubabu and renowned musician and professor Dr. K. Seshulatha Viswanath stated that classical arts greatly contribute to personality development, the preservation of Indian heritage, and educational growth. On the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the prominent dance institution Nritya Deekshalaya, classical dance performances titled 'Nrityarpanam' were organized at Ravindra Bharathi.
Attending as the chief guest, Pasumarti Seshubabu, along with IPS officer and Deputy Commissioner of Police K. Shilpavalli, Assistant Professor Dr. Y. Lalitha Sindhuri, and Yakshagana artist Dr. Pasumarti Seshubabu, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Speaking on the occasion, they explained the significance of classical dances in fostering discipline, values, and creativity among the youth. They lauded Nritya Deekshalaya, established in 1999 under the artistic direction of Lakshmi Shankar, for rendering remarkable service to the field of classical dance for nearly three decades.
Venkat Dikshitulu, the coordinator of the meeting, delivered the welcome address. Prior to the main meeting, dance ballets performed by artists depicting the lives and ideologies of great historical, mythological, and spiritual figures such as Sage Agastya, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, and Ramana Maharshi captivated the audience.
