Suryapet, Trinet News, August 29: Telangana Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that over the next year, every inch of dispute-free land across the state will be surveyed and title deeds will be issued to the rightful owners.
On Saturday, the minister distributed pattadar passbooks to 1,061 farmers covering 1,044 acres across 15 villages that had been pending for decades in Nuthankal and Maddirala mandals of Nuthankal mandal center in Tungaturthi constituency, Suryapet district.
Addressing the farmers on the occasion, the minister said that keeping in view the hardships faced by farmers for years due to the lack of titles for the lands they cultivate, their government brought in the Bhu Bharati Act immediately after coming to power, through which pattadar passbooks are being issued for all dispute-free lands. He stated that moving toward a permanent solution to land issues, their government is sincerely working to have officials survey every inch of land and provide rights documents to the genuine owners. He mentioned that in the first phase, 70 villages were selected in each district across the state to conduct surveys.
He noted that it has come to their notice that revenue, endowment, and assigned lands are being encroached upon in various places in the state, and strict measures are being taken to curb this. As part of this, he reiterated that every inch of land will be surveyed across the state within the next year, and pattadar passbooks will be issued for all dispute-free lands. He stated that pattas will be issued for lands without panchayats and to all rightful owners who possess lands. He lashed out, stating that when the previous government was in power, they failed to issue pattas and are now shedding crocodile tears.
He stated that the people are wholeheartedly welcoming the 'Indiramma Indlu' housing scheme introduced by the state government. He announced that 5,500 Indiramma houses have been sanctioned for every constituency in the state, and they will also be provided in the third and fourth phases.
Working for the resolution of farmers' issues
State Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that solving decades-old farmers' problems means issuing pattas. He noted that there is no precedent of any state in the country providing 500,000 rupees for Indiramma houses like Telangana does. He stated that trunk roads are being constructed with 36,000 crore rupees across the state. He revealed that roads worth 100 crore rupees have been sanctioned for the Tungaturthi constituency, with proposals for another 200 crore rupees. He also stated that double roads will be laid to all villages in the Suryapet constituency. He said that Indiramma houses will not be stopped under any circumstances, and every person living in a hut will be given an Indiramma house to make Telangana hut-free.
Sanction additional houses and roads for Tungaturthi constituency
Tungaturthi MLA Mandula Samelu appealed for the sanction of pending roads and additional houses in the Tungaturthi constituency. He expressed gratitude to the Revenue Minister and the Chief Minister for solving a 60-year-old problem where farmers cultivating fields suffered immensely due to lack of rights. He said that land is a farmer's self-respect and without land rights, there is no identity.
Distribution of pattas for 1,044 acres
District Collector Tejas Nandalal Pawar stated that pattas are being distributed to 1,060 farmers for 1,044 acres in Nuthankal and Maddirala mandals. He recalled that the state government introduced the Bhu Bharati Act to resolve problems faced by farmers due to various reasons. As part of this, over 3,000 acres of land in 15 villages of Nuthankal and Maddirala mandals were surveyed, examined, notices were issued by visiting farmers' fields, and a draft eligible list was announced, he revealed. He stated that pattas are being issued to cultivating farmers. Along with these, pattadar passbooks are also being given to farmers under Bhu Bharati, and new accounts are being issued to those without accounts, he clarified.
Bhongir Member of Parliament Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, State Revenue and CCLA Secretary Lokesh Kumar, Land Service Settlement Commissioner Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, Additional Collector Hari Singh, Farmer Commission member Cheviti Venkanna, along with market committee chairpersons, officials from various departments, and public representatives from various mandals participated in the program.
