Hyderabad, Ravindra Bharati, Trinet News, August 31: Noted film actor and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Maganti Murali Mohan stated that the heartfelt felicitation by folk artists is something he will never forget in his lifetime.
On the occasion of World Folk Artists Day, the "World Folk Artists Celebration" was grandly organized jointly by the Telangana State Folk Artists Association and Yuva Kalavahini, sponsored by 'Sanskritikabandhu' Saripalli Kondalrao, with the support of the Telangana Department of Language and Culture. Attending as the chief guest, Murali Mohan inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp along with Dr. K.V. Ramana Chary, former advisor to the Government of Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, he noted that artists do everything with their heart. He highlighted that it is remarkable how the Government of India is identifying remote folk artists and bestowing Padma Shri awards upon them.
Presiding over the event, Dr. K.V. Ramana Chary stated that under the leadership of Saripalli Kondalrao, financial assistance is being provided to encourage folk artists. He mentioned that in honor of the Government of India conferring the Padma Shri award on Murali Mohan, a felicitation was organized in the presence of folk artists.
The event was attended by 'Sanskritikabandhu' and Dr. Akkineni Nataka Kalaparishad President Saripalli Kondalrao, Yuva Kalavahini President Lanka Lakshminarayana, Telangana State Folk Artists Association President Vanga Srinivas Goud, and State General Secretary Lingaiah, among others.
