Osmania University, Trinet News, September 10: OU JAC Chairman Kothapalli Tirupati strongly condemned BRS leaders for sprinkling turmeric water to 'purify' the area near former Chief Minister KCR's farmhouse after Dalits visited it. Protesting this incident, he led a demonstration holding placards near the Osmania University Arts College on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Kothapalli Tirupati stated that looking down upon Dalits and hurting their self-respect is unacceptable in a democratic society. He noted that such actions are against social equality and warned that KTR and Harish Rao would be defeated in the upcoming elections.
Furthermore, Kothapalli Tirupati strongly condemned BRS MLC Tata Madhu for using abusive language against Dalit Speaker Gaddam Prasad. He termed such remarks against public representatives as irresponsible and demanded that BRS leaders issue an immediate public apology to the Dalit community.
