Begumpet, Trinet News, September 5: Begumpet ACP Gopalakrishna Murthy has advised organizers to conduct the Vinayaka Chavithi Navaratri celebrations with devotion and in a peaceful atmosphere.
As per the instructions of Malkajgiri Police Commissioner Sumati and DCP Sridhar IPS, a preparatory meeting on the conduct of the celebrations was organized under the auspices of the Begumpet police. Around 300 Vinayaka pandal organizers participated in this meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the ACP advised that information regarding the setup of pandals should be provided in advance through the local police station or the Malkajgiri police online portal. He stated that in addition to obtaining necessary permissions from the electricity, fire, and municipal departments, the names and phone numbers of the main organizers of the pandals must be registered with the police.
He stated that pandals should be set up without causing inconvenience to traffic and pedestrians on main roads and busy junctions. He advised keeping sand buckets, water, and fire extinguishers available at the pandals, and ensured that at least two volunteers are present during the night hours. He said that CCTV cameras should be installed for security.
Loudspeakers must be used only according to regulations, and DJs are strictly not permitted under any circumstances. He made it clear that only devotional songs should be broadcast at the pandals. He advised informing the police in advance about the immersion day, time, vehicle, and procession route details.
He stated that consuming alcohol and participating in the procession, rioting, and raising slogans or setting up flexes that hurt the sentiments of other religions and communities are completely prohibited. He requested that if any suspicious persons or objects are seen, or in case of emergencies, information should be provided to 100 or 112.
Begumpet Inspector Saidulu and police personnel participated in the meeting.
