A joint multilingual poets' meet and the presentation ceremony of the Ummadisingu Hanumantha Rao Memorial Literary Award, organized by Sri Manasa Art Theaters and Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, was grandly held at the Gana Sabha Kala Vedika.
Sadhana Narasimhacharya presided over the meeting, while prominent global traveler Dr. Narmada Reddy attended as the chief guest. Floral tributes were paid to the portrait of the late Hanumantha Rao. Following this, a poets' meet was conducted under the management of journalist Jaisuryah.
Prominent man of letters Prof. T. Gouri Shankar was presented with the award and felicitated grandly. Participating poets were also honored. Kadiyala Prabhakar, Jaisuryah, Bandarupalli Ramachandra Rao, Koka Bhavani, Midde Suresh, and others addressed the gathering. Manasa Raghu Sri coordinated the event.
