Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 24: Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha held a review meeting on fire safety in government and private hospitals. The Minister discussed fire safety audits with officials across all health facilities. Discussions focused on the implementation of fire safety standards, identification of lapses, and corrective measures in hospitals.
Senior health officials briefed the Minister that utmost priority is being given to fire safety in government hospitals and that regular fire safety audits are being conducted. The Minister reviewed the findings from previously conducted fire audits and the actions taken so far. He directed officials to take immediate corrective action wherever fire safety lapses were identified.
The meeting was attended by Special CS Naveen Mittal, Principal Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, Fire Safety Department DG Vikram Singh Mann, Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Dr. Sangeetha Satyanarayana, and senior officials from the Health, Energy, and R&B departments, among others.
