Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 12: Former MLA and BJP National Council Member Marri Shashidhar Reddy visited the very ancient and dilapidated Sri Gnananjaneya Swamy Temple in the "C" class area of Bansilalpet on Saturday.
Local residents submitted a representation to him, stating that the temple has been closed and worship has been suspended for some time. They requested him to protect the entire 300-yard plot by removing the tin sheets in the middle and to assist in constructing a new temple. They informed him that they had lodged a complaint with the state Endowments Department officials, who visited for an inquiry and advised against undertaking any disputed constructions there.
Later, Shashidhar Reddy stated that the government would take a decision regarding the development of the temple, and until then, daily rituals for the deity should be conducted as usual.
State BJP leader Marri Pururava Reddy, Mahankali Secunderabad District BJP BC Morcha President Y.
