HYDERABAD, TRINET NEWS, SEPTEMBER 19: Displaying an all-round stellar performance, Manikumar Cricket Club clinched a comprehensive 8-wicket victory over Sacred Heart Cricket Club in the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) 'C' Division One-Day League Championship match.
Played at the Green View Cricket Ground-2, the match saw brilliant spells from Manikumar CC bowlers Prateek Rajaneni and Vedas Vuradi, followed by match-winning knocks from D. Harshavardhan and captain Nagaram Tharun Reddy. Manikumar CC won the toss and elected to field first.
Batting first, Sacred Heart CC was bundled out for 223 runs in 42.5 overs. For Manikumar CC, bowler Prateek Rajaneni played a pivotal role by claiming 5 wickets while conceding 52 runs in 9 overs. Vedas Vuradi supported him well, picking up 3 wickets for 32 runs in his 9 overs.
Chasing a target of 224 runs, Manikumar CC comfortably reached 225 for the loss of just 2 wickets in 36.2 overs. D. Harshavardhan played a brilliant innings of 82 runs off 81 balls, laced with 10 boundaries and a six. Captain Nagaram Tharun Reddy remained unbeaten on 68 runs off 57 balls, hitting 7 fours and a six. Opener Vedas Vuradi also contributed significantly with 43 runs off 54 balls, featuring 3 boundaries.
