Hyderabad, Chikkadpally, Trinet News, August 28: On the occasion of the 87th birthday celebrations of cinema scholar S.V. Ramarao, a Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to senior interventional cardiologist Dr. Gulla Suryaprakash in memory of Ramarao's parents, Chandramouleeshwara Rao and Kameswaramma. The event was organized by Kinnera Art Theatres at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha in Chikkadpally.
Attending as the chief guest, retired IAS officer and former advisor to the Telangana government Dr. K.V. Ramanachari inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that Dr. Gulla Suryaprakash instills courage in his patients and saves their lives, praising his unforgettable services in the medical field. He noted that S.V. Ramarao has rendered numerous services to the film and arts sectors, and wished him a long and healthy life spanning a full hundred years.
Following this, Pratibha Puraskar awards were presented to prominent stage, serial, and TV actor-director Dr. S.B. Kishore (Chandrapur) and Namala Murthy (Y.V.S. Murthy). Kinnera organization secretary Maddali Raghuram delivered the welcome address. Former minister and MLA Mandali Buddha Prasad, prominent litterateur Dr. Palakurthy Madhusudhana Rao, renowned film actor Subbaraya Sharma, and Yuva Kalavahini President Lanka Lakshminarayana, among others, participated in the event. Prior to the meeting, film songs performed by various singers under the presentation of Geethalaya Arts titled 'Akkineni Aanimuthyalu' entertained the audience.
