Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 17: Praja Palana Day celebrations were grandly organized on Thursday at the LB Stadium under the auspices of the Sports Authority of Telangana. On this occasion, Dr. A. Sonibala Devi, IFS, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Sports Authority of Telangana, hoisted the national flag.
Speaking on the occasion, she stated that over the past two and a half years, the Sports Authority of Telangana has undertaken several innovative programs for sports development in the state. She noted that by implementing various crucial and proactive programs tailored to the needs of athletes, the Sports Authority is getting closer to the sporting community.
She explained the various initiatives being undertaken by the Sports Authority with the objectives of uncovering sporting talent in the state, attracting youth towards sports, and providing better training and facilities to athletes. Dr. Sonibala Devi stated that just as the state of Telangana—formed as a result of many struggles and sacrifices—is progressing in all sectors, it is imperative that it emerges as a leader in the sports sector nationwide.
She called upon the entire sporting community to work together with dedication to achieve this goal. A large number of Sports Authority officials, coaches, staff, athletes, parents, and others participated in the event.
