Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 9: Today, Kutbullapur Division ACP Sri Bala Gangi Reddy held an interactive meeting with members of the transgender community residing within the limits of the Jeedimetla Police Station. On this occasion, the ACP advised them not to engage in any illegal activities such as demanding money while causing inconvenience to the public during housewarming ceremonies, shop inaugurations, festivals, and other religious events. He warned that criminal cases would be registered against anyone indulging in unlawful activities.
At the same time, he created awareness about various welfare schemes being provided by the government to the transgender community. He also explained the recent job opportunities available to transgenders in the traffic police and other government departments in Hyderabad. The ACP advised them to choose respectable professions that benefit society and achieve self-reliance. He urged them to stay away from begging and other illegal activities and to become partners in societal development.
