Hyderabad, Ravindra Bharati, Trinet News, September 12: The Kuchipudi Rangapravesam of Khyathi Putta, a disciple of renowned dance guru Bompally Sudheer Rao, was grandly held under the auspices of the Sadguru Sivananda Nrutyamala Academy (Warangal) at Shilpakala Vedika.
Renowned cine actor Padma Shri Murali Mohan and Telangana Sangeeta Nataka Akademi Chairperson Alekhya Punjala attended as chief guests and inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Speaking on the occasion, they commended Ravi Putta and Rani couple for Khyathi's dedication and excellence in Kuchipudi dance. They noted that she began her training in 2024 under the renowned Kuchipudi exponent Guru Bompally Sudheer Rao and continued with utmost dedication, seizing every opportunity in the field of art. They remarked that a Rangapravesam is not merely a demonstration of learned skills, but a major milestone in an ongoing journey.
They expressed happiness that Khyathi, currently pursuing her first year of engineering at GITAM University, is excelling in the arts. They highlighted that alongside her studies, she excels in dance, Carnatic music, and tennis. It was noted that Guru Bompally Sudheer Rao founded his academy in Warangal 40 years ago with ten students and has since trained around 600 students to excel in Kuchipudi. Many students have received CCRT scholarships, while eight students have received scholarships from the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Prior to the meeting, performances presented by Khyathi including 'Gajavadana', 'Endaro Mahanubhavulu', 'Bhama Kalapam', 'Sankara Srigiri', and 'Jaya Jaya Durge' captivated the audience.
