SECUNDERABAD: BC Study Circle Director Mamidi Harikrishna expressed hope that literary organizations like Kavisayanthram will help restore the past glory of the Telugu language and literature through their commendable initiatives, especially at a time when Telugu is facing neglect due to changing mechanical lifestyles.
The 11th-anniversary celebrations of the Kavisayanthram social media group, a part of the Janajagruti organization, were grandly held in Secunderabad. On this occasion, several books were unveiled, and poets and writers were felicitated.
During the event, poetry collections 'Prasnasthram' and 'Pranaya Geetham' authored by Janajagruti President Mukkera Sampath Kumar, the short story collection 'Gaddipuvvu' by Boyina Bhaskar, and the essay collection 'Pratinidhi' by Polagani Bhanu Tejasri were launched.
Attending as the chief guest, Mamidi Harikrishna praised the efforts of poets and writers in preserving the Telugu language and literature. He noted that utilizing social media platforms for the promotion of literature is commendable.
State Civil Supplies Director Gajula Shyam Prasad stated that it is commendable for Kavisayanthram to organize literary and cultural events via social media for 11 years. He emphasized that such initiatives need to be expanded further to foster interest in the Telugu language among youth.
The event was attended by Gaddar Film Award recipient Ponnam Ravichandra, prominent poets Mounasri Mallik, Dr. Ponnala Balaiah, Cine Valley owner Madgula Prabhakar Reddy, Nukala Ashok Yadav, poets Kavitha Bethi, Attuluri Ramakrishna, Kadari Subhash Chandra Bose, and others. Poets and literary figures from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, the United States, and other regions also participated and made the event a success.
