RAVINDRA BHARATI, TRINET NEWS, AUGUST 21: Recognizing decades of exceptional service and technological innovations in the fields of big data and clinical analytics, Katta Suresh was presented with the prestigious 8th Global Convention Lifetime Achievement Award by the NRI Vasavi Association (NRIVA). The award was handed over by former NRIVA Chairman Sunku Jayasimha and Andhra Pradesh Minister TG Bharat.
Speaking on the occasion, they noted that Suresh, who hails from a humble rural background, moved to the United States for higher education, completed his Master's degree, and with great foresight founded Sama Technologies in 1997, at a time when the concept of big data was not yet popular. Recognizing the future importance of massive-scale data early on, he developed the company to analyze data and transform it into actionable insights.
Under Katta Suresh's leadership, the big data-based clinical analytics technologies developed by Sama Technologies played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were instrumental in analyzing massive datasets related to vaccine development and clinical trial data, and in accelerating decision-making processes. These research efforts served as a critical milestone in making vaccines available in a very short span of time. Through these achievements, Sama Technologies has carved out a prominent place in global medical history as a leader in "AI-driven clinical analytics," they stated.
