Ravindra Bharati, Trinet News, August 22: State Treasury Deputy Director G. Vasundhara stated that the friendship between the people of India and Japan spanning over six decades is unprecedented. She commended voluntary organizations for working towards cultural and friendly relations among people of different countries. She attended as the chief guest at a felicitation program jointly organized by the Friends International Club Organization and Young Minds international service organizations on Saturday, during the visit of an 8-member delegation from Nagoya and other regions of Japan.
On this occasion, she felicitated the Japanese delegation members: Kazuhiro Nagai, Asahi Nagai, Takeaki Honda, Goshima Junji, Saeki Sonoko, Smith Amanda, Kano Norio, and Fukuda Sutomu. Introducing the Japanese delegates, FICO Hyderabad President Dr. Upender Reddy explained the service activities being conducted by their organization for children.
The Japanese delegates distributed scholarships and prizes to children at the government children's school in Trishula Park, Bolarum, Grameena Bharati Ashram School in Marrigudem, and the Zilla Parishad High School in Dattayipalli. Young Minds Regional President K. Chakrapani presided over the meeting and explained the service activities undertaken by the organization. Young Minds International Member Vemaraju Vijaya Kumar welcomed the gathering. Young Minds leaders and members B.V. Narayana Rao, Apoorva Swati, U.H. Harinath Babu, Ravindra, V. Ramadevi, B. Visalakshi, J.B.V. Sharma, and others participated.
