Ravindra Bharati, Trinet News, September 6: Federation of Telugu Associations of Maharashtra President Jagan Babu Ganji and General Secretary Ashok Kante have expressed happiness over the Goa government's directives to the Collector's office to identify suitable land for setting up an International Telugu Centre in the state.
Various programs such as 'Varadhi' and Kavi Sammelanam organized under the aegis of the Federation of Telugu Associations of Maharashtra in Goa received an overwhelming response. In May, representatives of the Federation submitted a memorandum to Goa Governor Ashok Gajapathi Raju requesting the establishment of the International Telugu Centre in Goa. The Governor approved the request and issued orders to revenue department officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan Babu Ganji and Ashok Kante stated that the International Telugu Centre will help promote the Telugu language, enhance cultural cooperation, and boost tourism in Goa. They expressed gratitude to the Goa Governor, Chief Minister, and all officials who cooperated in establishing the centre. They also appealed to Telugu people from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, across the country, and abroad to participate in this project by sharing their ideas and extending their support.
Several Telugu intellectuals congratulated Jagan Babu Ganji and Secretary Ashok Kante for their special efforts towards establishing the International Telugu Centre in Goa.
