Hyderabad, August 31: Former corporator Alakunta Saraswathihari expressed anguish that internal roads in several colonies of the Tarnaka division have become riddled with potholes, causing severe hardships to citizens and motorists.
She inspected the route from Nagarjuna Nagar via Andalu Sweets towards Nacharam in the Tarnaka division. On this occasion, she stated that the roads are completely damaged and filled with potholes, creating a constant fear of accidents and causing difficulties even for pedestrians.
She alleged that the internal roads have reached this deplorable state due to the negligence of the previous rulers who represented the division. She criticized them for failing to pay adequate attention to essential basic infrastructure for the people.
She demanded that GHMC officials immediately inspect the dilapidated roads in Nagarjuna Nagar as well as all other colonies in the Tarnaka division and construct new roads in areas where necessary. Alakunta Saraswathihari urged the officials to finally respond and provide a permanent solution to the road problem to ensure safe travel for the public.
