* Funds have been withheld for three years: Dalit Bandhu Sadhana Samithi State Convener Dr. Bushipaka Ganesh.

* Demanded the lifting of freezes, completion of grounding, and depositing Rs. 10 lakh into beneficiaries' accounts.

Tarnaka, Trinet News, September 1:

Demanding the immediate release of statewide pending Dalit Bandhu funds, beneficiaries from Mothkur and Addagudur mandals, under the leadership of Dalit Bandhu Sadhana Samithi State Convener Dr. Bushipaka Ganesh, staged a protest at the Osmania University Arts College.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bushipaka Ganesh stated that the previous government had introduced the Dalit Bandhu scheme for the welfare of the poor. He explained that as part of the second phase, after Rs. 3 lakh was deposited into beneficiaries' bank accounts, collectors froze the accounts following the announcement of the 2023 Assembly election notification. He alleged that although the State Corporation MD issued orders to release the second phase of Dalit Bandhu funds, they have not yet been fully disbursed.

Expressing anguish, he noted that even though three years have passed since the Congress government came to power, the Dalit Bandhu funding issue remains unresolved, causing beneficiaries' families to miss out on various welfare schemes. He demanded that the government immediately lift the freeze on bank accounts, complete the grounding process, and deposit the remaining Rs. 10 lakh of Dalit Bandhu funds into the account of every beneficiary.

The protest was attended by TSSA State President Talla Ajay, BRSV State General Secretary Kompalli Naresh, along with Dalit Bandhu beneficiaries District Shivaji, Jakkula Giribabu, Itikala Anjanna, Chede Saidulu, Balemla Narender, Sriramula Pradeep, Bushipaka Sanjeeva, Batta Chinna Venkanna, Manda Vishnu, and others.
