In line with the statement made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the Legislative Assembly, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced on Friday that a high-level committee has been constituted to fast-track all issues related to 22-A. He stated that G.O.Rt. No. 564 has been issued in this regard. CCLA D.S. Lokesh Kumar will serve as the chairman of this committee, with Law Secretary Papi Reddy, and Stamps and Registration IG Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu as members.
Recalling the promise made back then by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy—during his tenure as Malkajgiri MP—to resolve regularization issues in various colonies of the L.B. Nagar constituency, the Minister announced that a memo relating to the regularization of 9,700 plots in the L.B. Nagar constituency of Ranga Reddy district under GO 118 was issued on Friday. He stated that under this GO, the regularization process in that area is starting tomorrow, and that this is a continuous process. The government will work with commitment until this issue is resolved, he added. He appealed to homeowners who have purchased plots and built houses there over decades to approach local officials and get regularized as per the rules under GO 118.
Regarding the regularization of house sites in the Singareni area, he noted that GO 76 was issued during the regime of the late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Following that GO, a meeting will be held on Saturday under the leadership of Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka with MLAs from the Singareni region to kick off the regularization process.
Additionally, the Minister announced that a decision will be taken in a day or two regarding the removal of layout areas—which are currently under 22-A in revenue records but have approvals from HMDA, DTCP, and GHMC—from the 22-A restriction list. He declared in the House that decisions on the 10-12 issues announced by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the Assembly will be taken within a month, providing relief to 22-A applicants.
