Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 22: In the wake of a fire accident that occurred on Monday night at the Special Neonatal Care Unit (SNCU) of the RIMS Hospital in Adilabad, State Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha visited the hospital.
The minister inspected the rescue and relief operations undertaken following the fire mishap. He inquired with officials about how the infants undergoing treatment in the SNCU were safely shifted to other wards. He also asked doctors about the health condition of the infants and children receiving treatment.
The minister directed the doctors to provide better medical services to the infants and children and to monitor their health condition continuously. Consoling the family members of the children, the minister assured them that the government would stand by them.
The minister is reviewing fire safety measures and emergency response protocols at the hospital with officials. Local MLA Payal Shankar, Principal Secretary of Health Christina Z. Chongthu, District Collector Rajarshi Shah, District SP Akhil Mahajan, RIMS Director Jaising Rathod, and other officials were present in the meeting.
