Haliya: India's 80th Independence Day celebrations were grandly conducted at the Haliya municipal office premises. Public representatives, officials, staff, town notables, and citizens enthusiastically participated in these celebrations, which were filled with patriotism and national spirit.
Initially, after singing the 'Vandemataram' song, Haliya Municipal Chairman Chintala Chandra Reddy hoisted the national flag. This was followed by the singing of the national anthem and the Telangana state song. The premises echoed with slogans of 'Jai Hind...', 'Jai Bharat...', and 'Vandemataram'. On this occasion, the sacrifices of freedom fighters were remembered and they were paid rich tributes.
Participants in the event stated that the sacrifices made by great leaders for the nation's independence are inspirational for future generations, and everyone must shoulder their responsibility for the nation's unity and development.
The event was attended by Municipal Commissioner K.
