Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 10: State Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju has directed officials to make extensive arrangements for the Telangana Praja Palana Day celebrations to be held at the Public Gardens in Nampally on the 17th of this month.

On Thursday, a high-level review meeting regarding the arrangements for the celebrations was held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat. The meeting was attended by senior officials including Special Chief Secretaries Jayesh Ranjan, Vikas Raj, and Ahmed Nadeem; Principal Secretaries Naveen Mittal, Christina Chongthu, and Shikha Goel; Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar; RTC MD Nagireddy; and Information Department Special Commissioner Mukunda Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary stated that Praja Palana Day will be officially celebrated at the Public Gardens. He mentioned that on the 17th morning, the Chief Minister will first pay floral tributes at the Martyrs' Memorial located opposite the Legislative Assembly before proceeding to the Public Gardens. He instructed the concerned authorities to make appropriate arrangements at both the Martyrs' Memorial and the Public Gardens.

Furthermore, he directed officials to illuminate major buildings and historical monuments across the city with decorative lighting. He also ordered that full dress rehearsals for the event be completed by the 15th of this month. It is estimated that about 2,000 people, including 1,000 women from self-help groups, will attend the celebrations.
