Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 4: The 133rd birth anniversary celebrations of Hyderabad's first mayor, journalist, and social reformer Korvi Krishnamurthy Mudiraj were held grandly on Friday at Mudiraj Bhavan in New Boiguda, Secunderabad.
Former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and BC Welfare Advisor V. Hanumantha Rao attended as chief guests for the celebrations, which were held under the chairmanship of G. Diwakar Mudiraj, President of the Korvi Krishnamurthy Mudiraj Birth Anniversary Celebrations Committee. On this occasion, books detailing the life history of Krishnamurthy Mudiraj were released.
The dignitaries stated that Korvi Krishnamurthy, who rendered immense service for the upliftment of marginalized sections, serves as an inspiration to all. During the event, the guests felicitated recently elected Nizamabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Umaraani and Sangareddy district Sadashivapet Municipality Chairperson Anjamma.
The event was attended by retired IAS officers Dinakar Babu and Jaganmohan, Mudiraj Mahasabha leaders Krishnamurthy, Manmohan, Chennaiah, Sharada, Surender, Venkatrao, Manda Srinivas, Anjaneyulu, Neelam Srinivas, Prakash, Srikant, and Rajendra Prasad.
