Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 18: Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has instructed officials that the state government's resolve is to organize the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu on the scale of the Kumbh Mela. Accordingly, he directed them to prepare a special action plan and move forward collectively to ensure all works are completed by next April. He guided them to study ground realities and make arrangements keeping the crowd in mind, ensuring that the challenges faced during previous Pushkaralu do not repeat.

The "Godavari Pushkaralu - 2027" Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting was held on Friday under his chairmanship at the Assembly Committee Hall. Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Seethakka, Ponnam Prabhakar, Vivek Venkataswamy, and Adluri Laxman Kumar attended the meeting. On this occasion, they reviewed the preparedness for the Godavari Pushkaralu, development works at prominent temples, construction of ghats, transportation, basic infrastructure, and the progress of other arrangements.

Speaking later, Minister Sridhar Babu stated that special officers have been appointed district-wise to prevent any coordination gaps in Pushkaralu arrangements. He announced that state-of-the-art command and control centers utilizing advanced technology are being set up in high-density Tier-1 areas. He mentioned that field-level studies have been conducted with collectors, ghat-wise, regarding additional arrangements needed to prevent inconvenience to devotees.

He advised officials to prioritize works that have a high probability of completion by the commencement of the Pushkaralu. Instead of waiting until the last minute, he ordered that a specific deadline be set for every task in alignment with ground realities. He emphasized that an integrated dashboard should be made available immediately to monitor the progress of these works continuously. To prevent any shortage of engineers, he noted that personnel should be taken on deputation from R&B and other departments.

Since rain is possible during the Pushkaralu, he said focus should be placed on alternative arrangements in advance. Minister Sridhar Babu also directed the concerned officials to take immediate action for the construction of an STP at Bhadrachalam.

He made it clear that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is ready to allocate any amount of funds required, and there should be no compromise whatsoever on the quality of Pushkaralu arrangements and works.
