Amaravati, September 5 (Trinet AP): Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that teachers bear the responsibility of preparing students for the future world. He expressed the desire for radical changes in the education system in tune with changing technological advancements, emphasizing the need to restructure courses from the school level to higher education. He suggested creating awareness among students in modern fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, robotics, and data analytics.
Participating in the state-level Teachers' Day event in Vijayawada, the Chief Minister extended Teachers' Day greetings to all educators who are shaping students as the builders of the nation's future. He advised that along with technology, values, culture, patriotism, and love for nature should be instilled in students. He noted that the responsibility of shaping students to match a competitive world has increased significantly for teachers.
Education should not be limited to theory; students should be given opportunities to step outside and learn experientially, the CM said, adding that the education system must align with industrial needs. Pointing out that anticipating the future and making timely decisions enabled the state to embrace the IT revolution, he noted that governance reforms and the use of technology have placed Telugu people at the forefront. He stated that over the next 10-15 years, a diverse India will be witnessed.
Even seventh-grade students should be trained to attain proficiency in AI, he said. If every school transforms into a model school, families, villages, and ultimately the country will change, he added. Chandrababu asserted that the state must achieve 100 percent literacy by 2027, and India must stand at the global apex. Stating that for Andhra Pradesh to be number one in the country, the foundation must be laid in schools and achieved by teachers, the CM remarked that teaching has become a challenging task in current complex circumstances. As a solution, he called for inculcating spirituality and adopting best practices like yoga and meditation.
Calling upon teachers to help India regain its status as 'Vishwaguru' (global teacher), the CM urged them to shape students into future leaders. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh felicitated 175 teachers selected as best educators across the state, presenting them with commendation certificates and appreciation.
The event was attended by local MLAs Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Gadde Ramamohan, MLC Varla Ramaiah, MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni), along with senior education department officials.
