Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 10: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that the main opposition BRS conspired under KCR's leadership at a farmhouse to disrupt the assembly proceedings smoothly. Speaking at the CLP meeting, CM Revanth Reddy lashed out, stating that the opposition has not shed its arrogance even after losing power, insulting police officers and public representatives, and preventing the smooth conduct of the assembly for three days. He expressed anguish over their inappropriate behavior towards officials, including causing distress by taking off T-shirts in front of women officers, and using highly objectionable language against the Speaker.
He noted that when an SC cell program was organized to register a protest, they insulted the ground walked by Dalits by performing a purification ritual. The CM appreciated the members for strongly countering the opposition's conspiracies and exposing the plot against the government to the public. Stating that an inquiry has been ordered into the incidents, the CM advised members to actively participate in assembly discussions.
He emphasized that attendance in the house should not drop and warned that failing to properly utilize the status given by the people would hinder future political prospects. He explained that a Central Hall was inaugurated in the Assembly and named after Duddilla Sripada Rao. Members must raise constituency-related issues in the house and maintain 100 percent attendance throughout the assembly session.
The CM questioned if leaders like Sunitha Lakshma Reddy and Sabitha Indra Reddy would have grown into state-level leaders had the Congress party not given them opportunities, remarking that they grew up within Congress only to harm the party later. Expressing anger, he said KT Rama Rao seemed to see Revanth Reddy in the police personnel, which is why they attacked officials with such vengeance.
The CM stated that the caste census conducted by Telangana is a model for the country, marking an achievement for the state, and urged mounting pressure on the center to conduct a caste census based on the Telangana model. Warning that there is a conspiracy to delete votes using the 'SUR' (Surname/Survey) criteria, he advised every aspiring MLA to take the protection of voting rights seriously. Every action of yours impacts your prospects for a second term, and individual performance dictates political victory or defeat, CM Revanth Reddy reiterated, urging leaders to take the 'SUR' issue seriously.
