Hyderabad, Trinet News, September 12: The Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (IIRM), jointly established by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and the Government of Telangana, celebrated the academic achievements of its graduating students by hosting the PGDM 2024–26 batch convocation ceremony.
Attending as the chief guest, IRDAI Chairman Ajay Seth awarded certificates to the graduating students and merit certificates to those who excelled in special courses. He highlighted the expanding career opportunities in India's insurance and risk management sector. He emphasized that integrity, technology, innovation, and continuous learning are crucial for professionals to succeed in this rapidly changing industry.
Highlighting the human dimension of the insurance sector, he stressed that empathy must be at the core of the insurance system, noting that this is essential to achieving 'Insurance for All' and contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Attending as the guest of honor, IIIT Hyderabad Director Professor Sandeep Kumar Shukla encouraged graduates to embrace interdisciplinary learning, technological advancements, and lifelong skills development. Emphasizing the need to balance technology with human capabilities, he urged graduates to combine tools and technology with human discretion, stating, "Make good use of technology, but do not give up human discretion."
IIRM Director Atanu K. Das reiterated the institute's commitment to developing ethically grounded, technologically equipped, and industry-ready professionals for the insurance and risk management ecosystem. IIRM Controller of Examinations Dr. C. Madhavi Prasad delivered the vote of thanks.
